À propos de l'événement
Not sure how to bridge the gap between agreeing to do a scene with someone and making that scene happen smoothly? Want to practice expressing your wants, limits and expectations in a no-stakes setting? Probe’s Practical Negotiation is the workshop for you!
@redselfties will guide the group through a series of practical negotiation scenarios, each focused on key skills you’ll need to feel confident negotiating a scene. We’ll focus on three of the following topics:
Informed Risk and Harm Reduction
Feeling, Mood and Intention
Activities and Tools
Bodily Consent
Psychological and Emotional Consent
Aftercare, Debriefs & Check-Ins
For each topic, @redselfties will provide some groundwork, demonstrate how she negotiates, invite feedback, then give participants a chance to try it out for themselves. Topics are decided at the start of the workshop, based on the interests of the group.
This workshop does not require a membership. Participation has no minimum cost, tickets are pay what you can.
Doors will open 15 minutes before the start of the class.
This workshop does not require a partner. We’ll be doing mock negotiations only, so be ready to practice negotiating with the people around you!
@redselfties has been playing with rope and impact for three years, though they’ve had a taste for power exchange and emotional masochism for far longer. He loves to refine his negotiation skills, whether it’s before scenes with play partners from both sides of the slash, while running a consent and negotiation table at Probe’s Open Houses, or by offering an impact bottom’s perspective during Applied Consent in Impact classes. Red believes that negotiation should be fun, while also making both people feel safe and affirmed. She’s deeply grateful to instructors and play partners of hers who’ve led by their example.
