To our valued community,

We want to take a moment to reflect on and address the recent conversations surrounding our inaugural social event for littles, middles, bigs, and caregivers. This event was organized with love by dedicated volunteers who aimed to create a welcoming space for folks who embrace that flavour of the community.

We understand that misunderstandings and miscommunications have arisen, leading to feelings of exclusion and discomfort for some. We genuinely feel sorry for the distress this has caused to all who have been affected, and a special apology to our event organizers who poured their hearts into this initiative. It is important for us to acknowledge that our gatherings are meant to be inclusive and accessible, and we recognize that clarity in our communication was lacking and is essential to be cognizant of moving forward.

In response to the feedback we received, we made adjustments to our event guidelines, including clarifying responsibilities for those wishing to wear and wet diapers at the social. Our goal is to establish an environment where folks feel comfortable and included, and we are committed to learning how we can better support the needs of this unique group.

We have heard the concerns about our intentions and the perception of our community space, and we want to reassure you that despite our areas of limitations, our aim remains to create connections and foster understanding. We acknowledge that some of our house rules may not resonate with everyone, but we are always open to having discussions and hearing feedback on how we can be better allies to the various sectors of our communities.

We also want to emphasize that our team, including hosts and volunteers, are navigating their own challenges as humans, and we appreciate your patience as we strive to improve the ways in which we work together. We are here to listen and learn, and we are interested in building relationships with strong foundations.

Due to the series of events and the resulting feelings of pain and stress, we have made the difficult decision to pause this event for now. It saddens us that the spirit of this social gathering has been overshadowed, but we remain hopeful that we can try again at a later time, with more knowledge and resources.

We are genuine in our desire to build bridges and learn from each other moving forward. Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate this journey together.

Are you ready for an out-of-this-world experience? Join us on September 15th from 12PM-6PM with our pals at the Groovy Daycare - a unique daycare experience at Probe, geared towards Littles and Middles. Partnered Bigs and Caregivers are only welcome if they are attending with their Little or Middle.

At Groovy Daycare we’re all about creating new adventures and making friendships. This one of a kind daycare lets Littles and Middles play freely and you might even encounter some new life forms: galactic aliens! Aka our hosts who are @Pixie-Magique @Little-Girl-Blue and @Lilith

Bring your fanciest galactic disco outfits, a fluffy pal to snuggle, and your star lit dancing shoes!

Make sure to pack:

• A sippy cup or reusable bottle
• Any snacks for dietary restrictions
• Your favourite plushie
• Your space suit (no enforced dress code, this month’s theme is Aliens!)

Meet the other passengers of this trippy ride with a friendly plushie meet and greet. Then buckle up for a totally rad story read by none other than Daddy Miel (@sweetasmiel)! Grab a crayon and come along with the stellar @Littel-Girl-Blue and her cosmic colouring pages. Hit the dance floor to sway to the funky beats playing at our Groovy dance party. We want to see your moves! Catch some good vibes with a cozy movie and snack time prepared by our amazing crew piloting this adventure before we say our last boogie goodbyes.

Activities include:

• Story Time with Daddy Miel & Unpredictable Stories
• Cosmic Colouring & Create an Alien
• Dance Party
• Movie & Snack Time or Exploding Kittens

Our activities menu is designed to cater to both Littles and Middles. You’ll have the opportunity to join into the fun that appeals to you the most!

If you are a Big or Caregiver attending with your Little or Middle you are welcome to participate alongside them. We’ll also have a corner for you to hang out with the other Bigs for the afternoon if you’d like to kick back and relax.

A Probe membership is required to attend this event. If you haven't secured your membership yet, you can sign up for your membership on our site here or can be purchased at the door. A 24 hour membership for $10 is available at the door only.

Tickets are on a sliding scale. We aim to give opportunities to everyone despite financial barriers. Choose the ticket price that suits your preference! All tickets are for the entry to an event and you get no more or less for the price you choose. Please note if you are a Big or Caregiver attending with your Little or Middle partner you also will be required to purchase a ticket.

In addition to Probe's standard rules, please review the following guidelines that will be enforced during the Daycare. 

1. Respect everyone’s little or middle mindspace.
2. This event is NOT a play party and no play will be tolerated.
3. This is not a sex positive event.
4. Tops and bottoms must be worn at all times.
5. Attendees are expected to be self-sufficient when it comes to their hygiene or to attend with a caregiver who can help them with those needs if required.
6. This is a self-care/personal helper care diaper event. Wearing a diaper is welcome. However, attendees are asked to still use the bathroom and are expected to attend to their own diapers. Persons with medical conditions are exempt from this rule.
7. We kindly ask that any persons wearing diapers ensure that the disposal of their wet diapers is managed by themselves or by someone they have entrusted, and taken off premises when they leave.
8. Food and drinks will be provided and it is the attendee’s responsibility to communicate and manage any food restrictions/allergies. Probe and its staff & volunteers will not be held responsible if someone fails to communicate such restrictions/allergies.
9. Attendees are responsible for any personal belongings they bring to Probe such as plushies, clothes, accessories, etc. Probe staff & volunteers are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
10. If something disrupts an attendee’s enjoyment of the event, it is their responsibility to communicate with Probe staff & volunteers.
11. If an attendee requires a specific accommodation it is their responsibility to advise Probe in advance.
