Flying Solo

Join us for a dazzling performance evening showcasing solo rope bondage acts from our local community!

This evening will feature three unique self-tie performances that blend the boundaries between bondage, aerial arts, and cabaret performance. Our first act, Red, one of Probe’s own hosts & DMs and a self-tie instructor at FFA, will enthrall you with her highly athletic and dynamic style of spins and inversions. Next, Truly, one of our fabulous rope bottoming instructors, will enchant you with her sensual style featuring minimalist rope and fluidity of movement. Finally, Bergamot (BURR-gah-MOE) Jones, of Poi Sinn Fire Entertainment, will excite you with their theatrical self-tying blending rope bondage, burlesque, and sideshow elements.

For those who have yet to see the space, this is a great opportunity to take a peek, and to check out what Ottawa’s largest suspension frame can really do! For those just starting their rope journey, or curious about what rope bondage is all about, this is your chance to see what can happen a little further on down the road, and for those without a rope partner the inspiration of what can be achieved all on your own with rope is not to be missed.

Dress up (or down!) and enjoy a drink at our one-night-only bar while our amazing roster of performers delight and entertain you. After the show, we invite you to test out the space for yourselves with a play party stretching into the night.

Tickets are on a sliding scale, choose the ticket price that suits your preference! All tickets are for the entry to an event and you get no more or less for the price you choose. Membership is not required to attend.

For those looking for a party, but not keen of the show, tickets to the play party only (beginning at 10:30pm) are also available.

About the Performers

Bergamot Jones

(Pronounced BURR-gah-MOE)

Whether it's being decorated as a living Christmas tree or stage-diving while suspended, being the pre-show for a Satanic ritual or getting (intentionally) set on fire, Bergamot has brought some exciting shows to the Ottawa scene. Performing in burlesque as well as bondage, they bring a creative flair to the stage.

Red

Red (@redselfties on Fet) has been self-tying since she picked up a rope three years ago. His style is often dynamic, with peaks of fierce movement and emotional intensity. They love to share their passion for rope, for movement and for mind-body interplay with an audience.

Truly

No stranger to the stage, this former Ottawa burlesque dancer has a passion for expression and a deep-seated hatred for pants. In the air or on the ground, Truly craves immersive, aesthetic, and authentically emotional scenes full of movement and a tender intensity. Equally joyful and intense in rope, she is not masochistic but seeks personal challenges and is especially fond of inversion, breath play, and swinging/spinning.
