Cruisin' For a Bruisin'

How do you find partners who will do the mean or nice things to us? What is involved in vetting a partner in the kink scene? What questions do you ask when you negotiate? There are so many factors to consider when you’re looking for play partners, whether romantic or platonic, and this is a great class to help you start off one step ahead.  

This workshop will explore the all the ways to begin making meaningful connections that can build into kink play and relationships. Your facilitator, ToughCookie, has been actively engaged in Ottawa’s kinky community since 2014 and strives to share her knowledge, often from the perspective of the right side of the slash. Her passion is in the spirit of raising awareness and empowering kinksters to make the best informed choices as they explore this sensational world.  Those attending the workshop will be invited to engage in practical exercises exploring what it’s like to participate in active decision-making for kink play. 

We’ll introduce you to power-neutral labbing and discuss and share resources to better equip you on this journey and achieve your goals. 

This class does not require a partner. There will be opportunities to collaborate with others in the workshop and discussion is welcomed from all. There are no prerequisites to attend. No special equipment is required, but we recommend you bring something to take notes if that’s your jam.  Tickets are on a sliding scale as we aim to give opportunities to everyone to have access to their community despite financial barriers and we recognize not everyone has the means to purchase a full price ticket for all events. Choose the ticket price that suits your preference! All tickets are for the entry to an event and you get no more or less for the price you choose.
