A High Tea Afternoon

A High Protocol Event

Join us for an afternoon of etiquette and elegance.

You’re cordially invited to Probe’s Afternoon High Tea, a High Protocol Event, and one with exceptionally polished manners, gleaming silverware, and extraordinarily attentive service.

Inspired by the atmosphere of a formal high-society gathering, High Tea invites you into a garden of delectable delights, steeped in social etiquette. This is not a traditional play party. The focus is on protocol, interaction, service, presence and the subtleties and tension that can emerge when expectations are clearly defined.

“Guests” will be seated for formal tea, or attending as dedicated service staff. Those interested in participating as “staff” may choose to provide traditional tea party service to all guests, opt to serve a select guest, or assist in making magic in the kitchen.  Whether dutiful, teasing, composed, or slightly mischievous, attendees are encouraged to engage with the fantasy in ways that feel authentic to them.

Themes are always inspiration, not obligation. Participation is never required.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees can expect tea service with decadent hors d'oeuvres and desserts, social interaction, protocol-driven dynamics, and opportunities to flirt, tease, praise, humiliate, or play, all depending on each participant’s comfort level and opt-in selections.

Protocol & Interaction

This is a Probe high protocol event.

What does High Protocol look like at Probe? Please refer to: High Protocol Rules

Guests (service receivers):

  • Guests are encouraged to interact freely with one another within the tone of a formal social gathering (like a wedding).

  • Refer to service staff and other guests by name, or a chosen flirtatious pet name if negotiated.

  • Interact with service staff as they would with catering staff in a formal environment.

Staff (service givers):

  • Staff are requested to behave like service staff in a formal environment when around guests

  • Refer to guests by their preferred titles and names.

  • Maintain a clean and tidy appearance

We ask all attendees to refrain from raising their voices, breaking objects, using physical discipline, or engaging with food-related degradation (ie. spitting in food) during the tea service.

The upstairs area and aftercare room will remain protocol-free zones throughout the tea party. Attendees may interact freely in these areas.

Coloured Sticker System

Guests and staff will be provided coloured dot stickers to indicate the kinds of social interaction they are open to from others.

  • Green — Gentle flirting and compliments (eg. “You look so cute in that apron.”)

  • Yellow — Teasing and humiliation (eg. “Oh dear, do you need help pouring tea?”)

  • Red — Open to criticism or bullying (eg. “You are utterly useless. Get out of my sight and make me another.”)

  • Blue — Comfortable appearing in photographs.

Stickers may be added or removed at any time. Please pay close attention and continue to negotiate respectfully. Consent with one person does not imply consent with another.

Dress Code

Guests

Fancy indoor tea party attire please. Suits, dresses, refined formalwear, and elevated presentation are highly recommended.

Please do not arrive in casual clothing. No shirt, no shoes, no service.

Staff

Dress for practical table service. Think butlers, maids, attendants, and formal service staff.

Outfits should remain appropriate for food preparation and service for hygiene reasons.

Things You Should Know

  • Participation in all activities is always optional.

  • All interactions follow consent-first practices.

  • Know your limits and communicate clearly.

  • You are welcome to socialize, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.

  • This is a judgement-free space.

After the tea service concludes, the evening transitions at 8PM into a protocol-focused play party atmosphere at The Parlour Room with expanded opportunities for power exchange and play. You'll receive a coupon code for a $5 discount to the play party with your ticket to High Tea.

Please note, spots are very limited for this special event. If you would like to provide dedicated service to only one guest, please send us a direct request as we have a few spots reserved for this purpose and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Tickets are available on a sliding scale to promote inclusivity and accessibility. Please choose the ticket price that makes this event accessible to you. All ticket types provide the same access to the event.

This event is open to members only. If you don’t have your membership yet, you can sign up online or come by to see the space and sign up in person.  A temporary membership is also available for 24 hours for $10 at the door.
