Trans* Erotic Movement Class

Get ready to fuck with gender, get freaky and filthy, and have fun! Dive into the fundamentals of erotic dance, and explore movement as a conduit for self-pleasure, sensual/sexual expression, and as a celebration of the body, all from the perspective of the trans* experience. Stick around after class for a community social!

Who it's for: This class is for anyone who identifies in the umbrella categories of trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming. This class is for all levels (no previous experience necessary!) and all bodies.

What to expect: Erotic movement technique, sensual combos, and guided dance exploration, followed by a community social. This class will provide a mix of technique/structure and freeflow/play.

What to bring (recommended): water bottle, knee pads, socks

What to wear: Wear anything (as much or as little) that makes you feel confident and comfortable, and that you can move in. Examples: lingerie, fetish wear, athletic wear, pyjamas, jeans and a t-shirt... Anything that works for you!

Students can participate barefoot, in socks, or in dancing shoes! If you plan on wearing shoes, please ensure they are clean, indoor shoes.

Tickets are available on a sliding scale to promote inclusivity and accessibility. We offer limited “supported” tickets at a lower price for community members who might otherwise be unable to attend. Please choose the ticket price that makes this event accessible to you. If you’d like to support event accessibility, consider purchasing a “benevolent” ticket, which helps subsidize lower-price options. All ticket types provide the same access to the event.

This class is open to members only. If you don’t have your membership yet, you can sign up online or come by to see the space on one of our social nights and sign up in person. We would love to see you! A temporary membership is also available for 24 hours for $10 at the door. 

Evan (@pole.evan) is a pole dancer, erotic performer, and movement instructor based in Ottawa. Specializing in sensual freestyle, Evan allows his raw, sexual energy to flow freely and emanate from each movement. His dancing is a celebration of queer and trans joy. As an instructor, Evan strives to create an accessible, inclusive, sex-positive and socially-aware learning environment where each student feels valued.
