About the event

Rope with Bite

Are you ready to sink your teeth into the delicious torment that can be achieved with rope bondage? This torture-themed rope bondage class will explore the dark art of adding a wicked "bite" to your rope practice. Through techniques like compression, body positioning, pressure points, and predicament, you’ll discover how to make your ropework a torturous experience.

Whether you're tying up a willing victim or experimenting solo, this class will awaken the fiend in you!

No tying partner? No problem, as long as you don’t mind torturing yourself with the tension of your own ropes.

Pre-requisites: Introduction to Rope or equivalent experience. You should be comfortable with a single column tie and basic friction techniques.

What to bring:

  • 2-4 pieces of bondage rope

  • Safety equipment (including safety shears)

  • Your playful, spooky spirit!

Tickets are sold per person. We aim to give opportunities to everyone to have access to their community despite financial barriers. Choose the ticket price that suits your preference! All tickets are for the entry to an event and you get no more or less for the price you choose.

This workshop is open to members only. If you don’t have your membership yet, you can sign up online or come by to see the space on one of our social nights and sign up in person. We would love to see you!

Doors will open 15 minutes before class starts.

@Kosmick has been getting tangled in knots most of their adult life, with an interest in the beauty and narrative power of bondage reaching back into childhood stories of damsels in distress. They began studying rope bondage in 2011, and intensified that study in 2016 after joining the Ottawa BDSM community. As an instructor, Kosmick takes an approach of breaking down classic structures and forms, with an emphasis on *why* things are tied the way they are, and an examination of the decision making processes of a tie. They are committed to demystifying rope bondage and empowering learners at all levels to experiment with what they know and pursue avenues to have fun with their rope. They view rope as a tool of expression, and look to inspire others to build connection and intimacy through their tying.
