About the event

Join us for our Rope Study Group, a collaborative space where enthusiasts come together to deepen their knowledge and skills in rope. This is a recurring event on rotation alternating between weeknights and weekends.

At the heart of our study group is a shared passion for rope work, where participants collectively choose themes and delve into various materials and resources. Led by facilitator @ToughCookie, each session begins with group brainstorming, followed by hands-on labbing where participants can put theory into practice. We conclude each session with a closing circle discussion, where we share our discoveries and insights with the group.

While @ToughCookie facilitates the group, we encourage all members to lead discussions and bring forth topics of interest. To ensure a cohesive learning environment, participants must have taken an introductory rope class (any intro, it does not have to have been with Probe Ottawa) or possess the basic understanding of tying, safety and consent for rope. Come prepared with your rope and don't forget to bring along a notebook and pen to jot down insights and ideas!

Please note that attendees must be members of Probe to attend this event. If you're not a member yet, you can easily become one here. Ticket purchase is required to reserve your spot. Participation has no minimum cost, and a portion of ticket sales will be set aside to support our community initiatives. Doors open at 6:00PM.

A little about your facilitator: @Toughcookie has been active in the kink community since 2014, and in rope since 2016, having been involved in presenting a variety of events and workshops in Ottawa over the years. A rope switch, she is attracted to the artistic aspect of ropes, allowing her to express her passionate nature with beauty and sensuality. Her greatest satisfaction comes from sharing her love for rope bondage through performance and learning.  As a knowledgeable and dedicated advocate for bottom empowerment, she welcomes interactive dialogue in and out of ropes for the purpose of continuous learning and growth.
