Check into the Haunted Hotel, where the lamps are ever burning and the rooms are filled with echoes of the past.

To kick off the spooky season, Queer Night slips out of the present and into a hotel lost somewhere in time. For one night, let the outside world slip away. Flirt with strangers in shadowed corners, follow whispers from mysterious figures, or find someone waiting where you were certain nobody had been moments before. Each room holds the possibility of pleasure, mischief, and experiences altogether otherworldly. Dress for another century or as a being that belongs somewhere beyond the veil.

And if the building feels unusually comfortable in its role, there may be a reason. More than a century before Probe took up residence at 41 York Street, these walls were home to the St. Louis Hotel, which rose from the ashes of a fire in 1874 and welcomed travellers to the bustling ByWard Market from 1875 into the early twentieth century. Tonight, we’re inviting a little of that forgotten world back inside.

👻 Dress to Haunt – Victorian decadence, gothic glamour, spectral finery, vintage hotel staff, creatures of the night, leather & lingerie...what would you wear for an eternity?

🗝️ No Vacancy – Choose a vintage key and create your own Haunted Hotel room key with tags, ribbons, charms, and a little personality to take with you, if the hotel ever lets you check out.

Queer Night is a play party centering 2SLGBTQ+ community members of all genders, bodies, and expressions. Whether you’re cruising cuties, curious to explore, or just want a consent-forward space to vibe and play, you’re warmly welcomed here.

Please note, our entry door will be locked after 10PM for the safety of our members and staff.

A membership is required to attend our play parties. If you haven't secured your membership yet, be sure to do so before the event! You can sign up for your membership on our site here or can be purchased at the door.

New Members Policy: If you are a new member attending your first play party at Probe, you must arrive within the first two hours of the event. This helps us provide the right orientation and support for newcomers.

Tickets are available on a sliding scale to promote inclusivity and accessibility. We offer limited “supported” and “sustain” tickets at a lower price for community members who might otherwise be unable to attend. Please choose the ticket price that makes this event accessible to you. If you’d like to support event accessibility, consider purchasing a “generous” or “benevolent” ticket, which helps subsidize lower-price options. All ticket types provide the same access to the event.

A variety of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available all night to keep you refreshed and energized. Please note that bringing alcohol is not allowed.

Our dedicated Dungeon Monitors (DMs) will be present throughout the venue, attentively supervising the play areas and offering assistance to ensure everyone's safety.
