This Halloween, we step into the world of Masque Nocturne, a grand celebration of transformation, intrigue and glamour. Hidden faces move through darkened halls and the familiar becomes something altogether more decadent.

There can be a sense of freedom in wearing a mask. It can conceal you, reveal you, embolden you, or give shape to a version of yourself that the daylight rarely gets to meet. Behind feathers, lace, leather, metal, paint, or porcelain, names matter a little less, curiosity lingers a little longer, and every encounter holds the delicious uncertainty of not quite knowing who is looking back.

This elaborate Halloween masquerade is inspired by gothic balls, decadent salons, midnight revels, and the seductive theatre of becoming someone else. The scene is set with dramatic spaces, strange amusements, and unexpected discoveries and hidden details woven throughout the dungeon, all surrounding the heart of what Probe does best: a night of connection, exploration, spectacle, and play.

The essence of masquerade is not only something to watch; it is something to inhabit.

As the evening unfolds, you may encounter invitations designed to draw you deeper into the mystery of the night. Look closely and follow your curiosity. Some surprises will be impossible to miss, while others may be waiting quietly in the details.

There will be places to play and be seen, places to disappear into conversation, and spaces where the atmosphere shifts as the night grows later. Expect moments of spectacle, little invitations to engage with the theme, and more than a few things we intend to keep secret until the doors open.

Masks are strongly encouraged and imagination is richly rewarded. Choose something elegant, uncanny, elaborate, beautiful, monstrous, or completely unexpected. This is Halloween! This is a costume party. No streetwear, please. Tonight, masked guests gather beneath dark florals and rich fabrics, creatures mingle with aristocrats, monsters dress for dinner, and you may discover there are many sides to a mask. No mask? No problem, we'll have a mask-making station available so you can craft your own.

What matters is the possibility of transformation.

For a few hours, you can step outside the version of yourself that moves through the ordinary world and become something a little bolder, stranger, softer, darker, or more dangerous. You may arrive knowing exactly who you intend to be, or you may discover them somewhere after midnight.

By the time the masks come off, the night may have changed you.

A membership is required to attend our play parties. If you haven't secured your membership yet, be sure to do so before the event! You can sign up for your membership on our site here or can be purchased at the door.

New Members Policy: If you are a new member attending your first play party at Probe, you must arrive within the first two hours of the event. This helps us provide the right orientation and support for newcomers.

Please note, our entry door will be locked after 10PM for the safety of our members and staff.

Tickets are available on a sliding scale to promote inclusivity and accessibility. We offer limited “supported” and “sustain” tickets at a lower price for community members who might otherwise be unable to attend. Please choose the ticket price that makes this event accessible to you. If you’d like to support event accessibility, consider purchasing a “generous” or “benevolent” ticket, which helps subsidize lower-price options. All ticket types provide the same access to the event.

A variety of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available all night to keep you refreshed and energized. Please note that bringing alcohol is not allowed.

Our dedicated Dungeon Monitors (DMs) will be present throughout the venue, attentively supervising the play areas and offering assistance to ensure everyone's safety.
