Knife & Fear Play Workshop

Please note: this workshop is designed for those with prior BDSM/kink experience including consent, negotiation, and risk aware play.

The quickening of your heartbeat; the tension of a sharp blade caressing your flesh. Knives are sharp. A wrong move or too much pressure, and you have an accident instead of a controlled scene. Think of the feel of the sharp edge as it wanders over your body; take a deep breath as cold steel toys with not only your body, but your mind.

This workshop will focus on creating a scary but safer experience. We’ll explore how to use your knife to build tension and fear for you and your partner, while keeping risks under control. The workshop will cover scene development,  knives and the human body, and the mental (mind fuck) aspects. There will be opportunities for hands-on practice, so bring your knife (if you already have one), and your sense of adventure.

If you are bringing your own knife, please make sure it fits the following guidelines:

• single edge blades only

• no longer than 6”

• clean blade

This workshop does not require a partner. Tickets are sold per person. Tickets are available on a sliding scale to promote inclusivity and accessibility. Please choose the ticket price that makes this event accessible to you. All ticket types provide the same access to the event.

About Daniel48

I have been a member of the Ottawa Kinky community since 1998, and was involved in my local communities before moving to Ottawa (no way around it- I’m one of the oldest members of our community).   While I enjoy and am experienced in a range of kinky activities, knife play is one of my favourites.

My “thing” is safety.  I insist on play partners having as much information as possible, and their being aware of all possible risks as well as pleasures.  Mitigating risks enhances the ability to relax into the fear.

I started playing with knives as a teenager (hello, Boy Scouts); my interest in this activity gradually increased over the years.  While I’m also an impact enthusiast, I like playing with fear, and there’s very little to compare with the fear of having a sharp, cold knife-edge at your throat- or perhaps somewhere more intimate?

Miss Gata (model)

Miss Gata (she/her) has been actively part of the Ottawa kink community for five years. Our local Latina kinky kitty is a bottom-leaning switch in a variety of play, a proud volunteer and member of Probe, and always willing to lend a helping/collaborating/assisting paw to her chosen family and friends in and out of the club. After regularly attending classes/workshops/discussions in the scene over the years, she’s purrfectly able to bring her experiences into the spotlight and give back.

Gata is happy to assist Daniel as his demo bottom for this workshop. She’ll keep her claws at bay and let Daniel lead the sharps that day!
