About the event
Impact Basics Block 1:
Applied Consent in Impact
This Impact Basics Block is the first module in the Impact Basic Blocks series and the foundation module of the Impact Learning Path. Come explore how consent gets articulated and how it’s applied in impact play negotiations. What is and what is not BDSM, what is and what is not play. What’s the difference between a dominant and a top? A submissive and a bottom?
What is a breach of consent? It’s not necessarily about something happening that wasn’t negotiated - it’s often about the way you both deal with these mishaps. We’ll discuss what to do, not if, but when something goes in an unexpected direction in your impact play; how do you come back from this, can you come back from this?
We will also demonstrate play from scene negotiation through to aftercare so you see how active consent is applied in impact play.
