Come gather where the hearth is warm and the harvest is plentiful

As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, gather with us for Hearth & Harvest, a play party celebrating the abundance of autumn and a little seasonal magic.

We'll trade midsummer greenery for glowing candles, fallen leaves, apples, pumpkins, warm spices, and the rich colours of the harvest season. Expect a cozy evening inspired by old harvest traditions, woodland folklore, and the simple pleasure of coming together as the year begins to turn toward winter.

🍂 Throughout the night, explore seasonal activities designed to invite connection, creativity, and a hint of enchantment. Share what you’re grateful for, add something to our harvest bounty with our food drive, enjoy warm cider and autumn treats and take part in a few harvest-inspired surprises.

🍎 Pluck an apple from our “tree” and settle into a space made warm, welcoming, and slightly wild, where creatures, witches, wanderers, and ordinary mortals are equally welcome to gather and play.

🍄 Costumes and seasonal dress are encouraged but never required. Embrace your inner woodland witch or harvest fae, don autumn finery, cozy layers, earthy tones, knit sweaters, or anything that makes you feel ready to gather around the fire in the cool night air.

In the spirit of the harvest, we’ll also be collecting non-perishable food donations for the Ottawa Food Bank. If you’re able, bring something to add to the bounty. Suggested items include:

• Healthy snacks (like granola bars and fruit cups)

• Canned fish and meat

• Canned fruits and vegetables

• Nut butters (like peanut butter or almond butter)

• Dry pasta and pasta sauce

• Canned tomatoes and beans

A membership is required to attend our play parties. If you haven't secured your membership yet, be sure to do so before the event! You can sign up for your membership on our site here or can be purchased at the door.

Please note, our entry door will be locked after 10PM for the safety of our members and staff.

Tickets are available on a sliding scale to promote inclusivity and accessibility. We offer limited “supported” and “sustain” tickets at a lower price for community members who might otherwise be unable to attend. Please choose the ticket price that makes this event accessible to you. If you’d like to support event accessibility, consider purchasing a “generous” or “benevolent” ticket, which helps subsidize lower-price options. All ticket types provide the same access to the event.

A variety of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available all night to keep you refreshed and energized. Please note that bringing alcohol is not allowed.

Our dedicated Dungeon Monitors (DMs) will be present throughout the venue, attentively supervising the play areas and offering assistance to ensure everyone's safety.
