About the event

Introducing Galactic Gala: an out-of-this-world Showcase featuring drag, burlesque, aerial arts, and more!

Enjoy an evening of curated cocktails and fantastic entertainment, followed by a play party. This is going to be one spectacular evening highlighting incredible performers in our gorgeous community. Get ready to be dazzled by Miss Diagnosis guiding you through the evening as your host and taking to the stage himself for jaw dropping entertainment. We promise to leave you breathless and begging for more.

Once the performers have blown you away, the night doesn't stop! As the curtains close, Probe's dungeon will open and you're welcome to show us a little of what you can do. We'll transform into play party mode and keep the energy flowing til 2AM. **Please note, our entry door will be locked after 12AM (midnight) for the safety of our members and staff.

Fuel up with our delicious drinks with our bar serving a tantalizing selection of cocktails & beer. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available as well, including special mocktails.

Choose your comfort level and participate in a consent focused show— wear a provided glow stick to indicate you are comfortable with performers interacting with you during their numbers, and sit in the front rows! Alternatively, sit in the back rows without a glow stick for an interaction-free show.

Galactic Gala is happy to say that we pay every performer a guaranteed amount, however tips are still highly encouraged as all the performers put so much into these numbers. For ease, tip jars for each performer will be available as well as tip jars for the dj and bartender. Feel free to tip the performer directly or utilize the tip jars throughout the show. Bring those $5 bills!! Miss Diagnosis will also have a square reader for credit/debit  tips— to be split among all performers.

Tickets are limited to 50 attendees for this event and are on a sliding scale. We aim to give opportunities to everyone to have access despite financial barriers. Choose the ticket price that suits your preference! All tickets are for the entry to an event and you get no more or less for the price you choose.

A Probe membership is required to attend this event. If you haven't secured your membership yet, be sure to do so before the event! You can sign up for your membership on our site here or at Probe. Temporary 24 hour memberships are also available for $10 and can only be purchased at the door.

The Lineup

Spicy Pancetta (she/her): Spicy Pancetta has been Ottawa’s favourite deli meat for the past 5 years. This Queen keeps things interesting by never taking herself too seriously. Campy, eclectic numbers sprinkled with sass and, obviously, spice is what we’ve come to expect from this Spice girl. A believer that all drag is valid, a fighter for the AFAB queen community, and a reminder that being a performer doesn’t end with being young, fit, and flexible. “You can have body like a bag of milk and a complexion to match and you can still bring it every time! Remember kids: be kind and always Keep It Spicy!”

Jak Ammer (he/him): Farmer by day turns stripper by night, this king’s got it all and he’s not afraid to show it off. Jak first hit the stage back in 2011 and since then he’s had the chance to perform on many various stages, from local bars all the way to world pride and burlesque festivals. Previously a member of Canada’s Capital King he is now part of the O-Town Packers, the only drag king troupe in Ottawa. Together with his brothers, Jak has been an advocate for the drag king community in this city for over a decade. Meet Ottawa’s bad boy with the most (ass)ets, Jak Ammer!

Lover B (they/them): Lover B is a new, nonbinary, gender-fluid, Lebanese drag artist whose charm will have you crushing (and gushing). As a queer, POC Mx performer, Lover B showcases their various intersecting identities and activist values in their gender-bending and awareness building performances. Sometimes they release their inner child on stage, dancing to early 2000s R&B and hip-hop; sometimes they are raising awareness for current inequities; and sometimes they bring out their inner freak. But no matter what, their energy will leave you wanting more!

Viper (she/her): Emerging from the strip club world in Ottawa, Viper Dawn is a full time stripper and feature performer working both locally and out of town. She won the "Most Creative Show" title at Miss Nude Canada 2024 as well as "Bendiest Babe" for her spectacular performance combining a wide range of performance skills including pole dancing and aerial arts. Watch her slither around the stage like she owns it, with unmatched confidence and sensuality. From twerking like there's no tomorrow to bending into a pretzel, Viper got everything you need and more.

Miss Diagnosis (he/they): Miss Diagnosis is your local disabled wet dream, bringing disability awareness and visibility to audiences of all kinds. He shows representation for cane users, autistic adults, those with mental illnesses, tic disorders, plus size folks, and femme presenting trans masculine people. Miss diagnosis’ mission is to create kind, supportive, and accessible spaces within the community and to give platforms to voices that often go unheard.
