About the event
Consent Culture
Exploring the foundations of consent in kink spaces
Consent is the foundation of every healthy kink interaction, but it's often far more nuanced than a simple "yes" or "no."
This discussion-based workshop explores what consent really looks like in kink spaces, from negotiation and safewords to social etiquette, power dynamics, and the subtle ways pressure can influence our decisions. Together we'll unpack common misconceptions, examine real-world scenarios, and practice the communication skills that help create respectful, accountable communities.
Whether you're brand new to kink or have years of experience, this class offers practical tools for navigating scenes, social interactions, and everyday consent with greater confidence and clarity. Come ready to participate, ask questions, and explore how consent culture is something we all help create.
Topics include:
What informed, ongoing consent really means
Consent frameworks in kink
Consent in and out of the dungeon
Safewords, check-ins, and non-verbal communication
Recognizing mistakes in consent and common misconceptions
Practicing how to ask for, give, and gracefully accept "no"
No experience is required. Open discussion is encouraged, and respectful participation from all is welcome.
This workshop does not require a membership. Tickets are pay what you can, with a $10 minimum.
Please note doors will open 15 minutes before the start of class and doors will close 20 minutes after the start of class.

@TherapyDoll (she/they) is an experienced practitioner and educator specializing in fire cupping, fire massage, and heat-based sensation play. Lee brings 20 years of hands-on experience in teaching from their family's martial arts school. She has worked with a wide range of bodies, limits, experience and age levels.
Over the past year, she's reawoken her love for teaching in the scene. With a strong emphasis on consent, risk awareness, and intentional technique, their teaching balances technical skill with grounded safety practices.
So, lets foster confidence, communication, and respect between partners!
