The leather collar, with bright buckle and D-ring, is possibly the single most iconic piece of bondage gear in the world followed closely behind by the classic cuff. This workshop gives you the chance to craft your own collar and cuff set that you can wear proudly in all your naughty play.

The workshop will guide you through the different steps involved creating your own iconic cuff and collar set including teaching you how to measure the leather for an accurate and comfy fit, cutting and shaping the leather to the correct size, punching and riveting the leather to attach D-rings and buckles, and waxing and burnishing the final product to make it beautiful and durable for play.

Each participant will receive a prepared kit with three pieces of leather, one for collar and each cuff, as well as a selection of buckles, D-rings and rivets in several colors. Each kit will include templates to guide you on how to punch the leather and tools will be provided for the punching and riveting steps.

When completed, you will have a 1” wide leather collar which can fit up to a 20” diameter neck and two matching cuffs which can fit up to 10” diameter wrists.

No previous crafting experience of any kind is needed for this workshop!

Staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide assistance through every step of the process and each step will be displayed by the instructor. The process does require a level of hand strength and dexterity but staff will have tool options and provide assistance so that the workshop is as accessible as possible.

There are a variety of colours of leather but a limited number of each so be sure to purchase your ticket early to ensure you get the colour you want. Requests for additional colour options can be made but are not guaranteed. If you do make a special request you will receive a response in advance of the event.

Please note: The buckles, rivets and D-rings are made of an alloy containing nickel or copper, if you have a significant metals allergy these may cause a skin reaction.

No Probe membership is required to attend this workshop.

Meet your instructor:

Chad (he/him) has been an active member of the Ottawa area kink community for the last 3 years and has been a crafter and maker his whole life.

While working on making his own suite of medieval armour he discovered a passion for leathercraft and soon transitioned his skills into making collars, cuffs, binders, leashes and more for his partners and friends.

Chad loves the opportunity to combine craft and kink and create beautiful, fun, and functional pieces for all types of play and has recently begun to offer his products for sale aiming to provide the local community with high quality, affordable toys and bondage gear that people are proud to wear and will last a lifetime of play.
