Code of Conduct

  • Respect Pronouns: Respect and endeavour to use preferred pronouns for all club members. Please ask what someone’s pronouns are if you’re unsure.

 

  • Communication and Negotiation: Open and honest communication and negotiation is encouraged at Probe. Clearly communicate your desires, limits, and expectations with potential play partners. Practice negotiation and establish boundaries before engaging in any activities. 

 

  • No one is ever obligated to play.

 

  • Informed Consent and Risk Aware activities: Be aware of the risk you are assuming when engaging in play. We highly suggest our members be informed about the risk and obtain the appropriate skills necessary for the type of activity they are participating in. 

 

  • Safer Sex: We encourage safer sex practices at Probe. Condoms and other barriers are available free of charge throughout the club. Communicate with your sexual partners to determine what safer sex looks like for everyone involved.

 

  • Personal Hygiene: Probe is a scent free space. Please refrain from wearing any perfume, cologne, or heavily scented products. For the comfort and enjoyment of all club members, please practice good personal hygiene when you attend events and participate in activities. 

 

  • Dress Code: Respect the dress code of the event you are attending. Certain events at Probe may require a specific form of dress. In such cases, please adhere to the event guidelines. For all events at Probe, please avoid wearing culturally appropriating or disrespectful attire. Loose glitter is prohibited.

 

  • Share the space: On busy evenings please limit the use of the play stations to 60 minutes to ensure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the space. 

 

  • Flashing Lights & Flash Photography may affect members with photosensitivity. We ask that you avoid using them, unless pre-approved by staff and only after confirming that everyone nearby is aware and comfortable.

  • Respect the members and the space around you 

    • Manage noise levels by keeping conversations to a minimum in the immediate area around active scenes and avoid using toys that produce an unreasonable amount of noise.

    • Respect the physical space required for others’ play and scenes. Do not interrupt, crowd, or position yourself too close. If you wish to watch, do so quietly and from a respectful distance.​
